iPROFILE
Enjoy the music from your records on your iPod.
The PROFILE series of LP-conversion systems is designed with contemporary, low-profile looks and is finished in sleek, piano black. Each model is designed to capture the music from your vinyl records and turn it into portable, flexible, digital MP3s that you can enjoy at home and on the go.
iPROFILE is an LP-to-iPod conversion system with a multi-speed USB turntable. You can play records and transfer them directly to your iPod thanks to iPROFILE's integrated Universal Dock for iPod. Record-to-iPod transfer works even if you don't have a computer.
iPROFILE also has easy-to-use USB output that enables you to capture music from records onto your computer. IONs EZ Vinyl/Tape Converter software assists you in creation of flexible MP3 files you can listen to on your computer, load onto your iPod, or record to CD.
When not converting records, you can also enjoy your classic vinyl records using iPROFILE as a standard record player. It has an standard, line-level output with built-in preamp so you can connect it to virtually any stereo system.

Q: I am following the instructions, and the turntable is connected to my computer's USB cable and turned on, but my computer does not recognize the device. In Audacity's preferences screen, there is no "USB Audio Codec" option under default recording. What should I do?
A: If you are running Windows XP or Mac OSX, everything needed to get the tuentable communicating with the computer is built right into the operating system on your computer. Once you connect the turntable to your computer with the USB cable that came in the box, your computer will recognize it as an audio input device titled "USB Audio Codec." The driver is written by Windows (or Macintosh) and is part of the system.Q: When the turntable is connected to my computer, I get no sound, either from Audacity or any of my other programs. Why?
A: When you first connect the turntable, Windows XP (and Mac OSX) will often select the "USB Audio Codec" as the audio input and output for your entire system. Since your turntable does not have speakers, audio will not be heard from your programs until you tell Windows not to use the turntable as an output device. Here's how to change these settings so that your internal sound card will always be used for playback whether or not your turntable is connected via USB:
- For Windows:
- On the bottom left of your screen, select the "Start" menu.
- Select "Settings" then "Control Panel".
- In the window that opens, select the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. (If you don't see a choice called "Sounds and Audio Devices," choose the "Switch to Classic View" option in the panel on the left of the window, and the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon should become available in the list on the left.
- Select the "Audio" Tab at the top of the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel window.
- Under "Sound Playback," choose your internal sound card as the default device. This varies by computer but should not be set to "USB Audio Codec" or "Microsoft Sound Mapper".
- Under "Sound Recording," select "USB Audio Codec" for your default device.
- Check the box titled "Use only default devices".
- Click "Apply"...then "OK".
- For Mac:
- Open your Hard Disk.
- Open your "Applications" folder.
- In the "Applications" folder, open the "Utilities" folder.
- In the "Utilities" folder, open the "Audio MIDI Setup".
- In the "Audio MIDI Setup" under Audio Devices, set:
- "Default Input" to "USB Audio Codec"
- "Default Output" to "Built In Audio"
- "System Output" to "Built in Audio"
Now, all programs, including Audacity, will only use your internal sound card for audio output.
